Everything Rockstar has actually confirmed about when Grand Theft Auto VI arrives, what it runs on, and how we got here — kept up to date.
Release date
Grand Theft Auto VI is dated for November 19, 2026. That date follows earlier windows that slipped — an original 2025 target, then a May 2026 date — so treat it as Rockstar's stated plan rather than a guarantee.
Platforms
- Confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- No PC version has been announced. Rockstar's PC releases have historically arrived after the console launch, but nothing is confirmed for GTA VI yet.
- The Netflix Extended Look gameplay was captured on PlayStation 5.
The road here

- May 2025 — the second trailer.
- August 27, 2026 — a 26-minute "Extended Look" on Netflix: the first real gameplay.
